For Regular Meeting Agendas: Beginning December 15 - Regular School Board Meeting agendas have an English and Spanish version included in the same document. This document is available on all posting platforms - Electronic School Board, RI Secretary of State, and Providence City portal. Users can download and view the attachment on their device.
For viewing other meeting materials: Google Chrome offers a free extension that provides translation on most online platforms. This extension can be utilized to translate our Electronic School Board page (https://providencepublic.ic-board.com/), among other platforms. Instructions to download and install this extension are available here (English & Spanish).
For Public Comment: Individuals who require communication assistance (readers/interpreters/captioners), or any other accommodation to ensure equal participation, are asked to email boardservices@ppsd.org requesting communication assistance at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

HOW TO JOIN MEETINGS
At the location noted under the meeting.

The public will be able to watch meetings on our YouTube page. In-person meetings will be livestreamed, remote meetings will be recorded and posted within 1-2 business days.
ACCESING AGENDAS AND MEETING MATERIALS
Agendas and meeting materials are posted atleast 48 hours in advance of a meeting. Sign up for email notifications of meetings at Rhode Island Secretary of State.
To add an email notice alert:
Upcoming Meetings:
- Using the public body search feature, begin typing the name of the board you are looking for;
- Select the board from the list;
- Click “Search”
- Click the “eMail” button beside the header that reads: “Upcoming meetings for…”;
- Enter your email address;
- Select how frequently you would like the system to look for updates;
- Select “Update”;
- Select “Close.”
Recently filed minutes:
- Using the public body search feature, begin typing the name of the board you are looking for;
- Select the board from the list;
- Click “Search”
- Click the “eMail” button beside the header that reads: “Recently filed meeting minutes…”;
- Enter your email address;
- Select how frequently you would like the system to look for updates;
- Select “Update”;
- Select “Close.”
You will now receive email updates for your chosen entity. You will need to repeat these actions for each board you would like notifications for.
To access the documents being reviewed in the meeting, go to our Electronic School Board page (https://providencepublic.ic-board.com/). Select the date and the meeting you would like to view. Select the agenda item to check if there are materials available. You may print or download a version of any accessible materials for your reference. Staff members who upload materials to Electronic School Board via their login credentials should use this link: https://providence.ic-board.com/.

All School Board meeting agendas, minutes, past meetings and policies are also available at the above link (use calendar to click on date and meeting you'd like to view). Recordings of the past meetings are available on YouTube here.

Public Comment

If you would like to participate in the Public Comment (3 minutes) portion of our Regular School Board meetings, you may do so by two methods:
1. To speak at the meeting, you must email boardservices@ppsd.org to sign up by 4pm on the day of the meeting. We know who to introduce and in what order during Public Comments based on who has signed-up. Members of the public are allowed three minutes each to offer comments. Groups or organizations are encouraged to appoint a spokesperson.
OR
2. You may also submit written comment to boardservices@ppsd.org to be added to the meeting record. Anything received by 4pm on the day of the meeting will be shared with the School Board in advance of the meeting. Written comment receveived after that time will be sent to the School Board as soon as possible.
