    K - 8 Program 
    July 5 - July 29, 2022    Monday through Friday
    8:30 am - 3:00 pm    Free to all PPSD Students    

    Expand your student’s education through active and project-based learning in literacy, mathematics, STEM, and arts enrichment courses. Hands-on classes enable students to grow with grade-level peers in an engaging and exciting setting that helps children explore new concepts. 

    - Delivered in person at selected elementary and middle schools. 
    - Students will receive breakfast, lunch, and transportation!

    Applications are available at your students' school. You may also download the K-8 Application, here -  English | Spanish. The completed form must be returned to your child's school by May 9.

     

    9 - 12 Program 
    July 5 - July 29, 2022    Monday through Friday
    8:30 am - 2:30 pm     Free to all PPSD Students

    To help students access college and career pathways, high school students can engage in learning course content and recover credits that will allow them to graduate on time and participate in Career and Technical Education courses. The program will be offered virtually. 

    - Students can choose from two-hour time blocks to accommodate learner schedules. 
    - There will be daily opportunities to use school computer labs and receive free breakfast and lunch.

    CTE Programming 2022: Grades 9 - 12
    July 11 - August 12, 2022    Monday through Thursday
    8:00 am - 12:00 pm     Free to all PPSD Students

    This program provides the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, project-based learning, and workforce development programming in several Career & Technical Education programs.  Programming is offered at PCTA, Alvarez, Central and E-Cubed.  All instruction will be in person and selected students will receive stipends for their participation.

    Community Partner Summer Programs 
    Two six-week sessions:
     July 6 - August 12, 2022 and July 11 - August 19, 2022 

    Providence Public Schools (PPSD) and the City of Providence are excited to announce our summer enrichment programs for transitional pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade students.  

    - These learning programs focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of students through hands-on and engaging learning experiences. 

    - All students in PPSD are eligible to attend at no cost to their families.

    Extended School Year Program 
    July 5 - July 29, 2022     Monday through Friday
    8:30 am - 1:30 pm     

    Extended School Year, or ESY, is provided per special education regulations for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students with disabilities, in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs, or IEPs. Students qualify to participate in the ESY program when specific criteria set by the RI Department of Education has been met.
