• Transfer Requests

    Note: This process is for current Providence Schools students only. If the student is enrolled in a charter school, private school, or another district the student will follow the registration process. See more information here.

    Transfer requests follow the District school placement policy and are processed in the order in which they are received. Transfer requests can be submitted by email (inforeg@ppsd.org), fax (401-278-0553), text message (401-420-7189), or in person at your child's assigned school or the Registration Center. Please include a picture of your photo ID to verify you are the parent or legal guardian of the student and include the student's name and student ID number or date of birth with your request.

    For students who participate in the Kindergarten, Grade 6, or Grade 9 school choice lottery, students are automatically placed on the waitlist for any school higher in their choices and you do not need to complete a transfer request form. Waitlists are ordered by preference: siblings first, then neighborhood students, then non-neighborhood students. To request a waitlist update, email inforeg@ppsd.org with your child's name, DOB, or student ID number.
