Joining or returning to Providence Schools from a charter or private school?
Welcome to Providence Schools! You will need to complete the full registration process. Some things that can be helpful before you begin:
- Request your student's most recent grade reports, transcripts, and test records from their current school
- If your student's school uses the WIDA language screener, it is particularly helpful to have that record
- If applicable, request your student's most recent special education evaluation and Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
I want to return next year. When should I register?
- Grades 6 and 9 should register in January and early February in order to join the school choice lottery
- Kindergarten registration begins in February and the school choice lottery is in May
- All other grades registration begins in May for the following year -- the sooner you register, the more likely you will be assigned to your top choice school
I want to transfer to Providence Schools right away. When should I register?
You'll need to complete the full registration process. Please begin that process 1-2 weeks before you would like your student to begin at a Providence school.
My student was accepted for Advanced Academics for middle school. Do I have to register?
