Providence Public Schools has talent! For decades, the District has recognized a Teacher of the Year that is nominated by the community - an administrator, colleague, student, parent or community member. The PPSD Teacher of the Year is then presented to the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) to be considered for the statewide Teacher of the Year -  the well-known Milken Educator Award..
