    All sessions scheduled from 10am to 11am or 5pm to 6pm. (In person)

  • Notification

    The Family and Community Engagement Office (FACE) will notify the school electronically and applicants will be notified by regular mail. Applicants are asked to reach out to the school directly for volunteer assignments.



    Need assistance to obtain the BCI?

    FACE Office staff will ask you to complete a 3rd Party Form at the Orientation session. The FACE staff member will notarize the form, drop it off and pick up the BCI, as soon as it is processed by the RI Attorney General’s Office. For more information visit http://riag.ri.gov/BCI/index.php.


    Volunteer applicants are entittled to appeal a decision:

    Any volunteer against whom disqualifying information has been found may request that a copy of the Criminal Background Report be sent to the Director of Family & Community Engagement. A decision shall be made in writing regarding whether the individual may volunteer and whether limits on time and scope of volunteer services are appropriate. In approving volunteers with Disqualifying Information, the District shall consider the nature of the offense, the time that has elapsed since the disqualifying event, the applicant’s more recent conduct, and other factors that it considers relevant. This decision may be appealed to the Superintendent.
