Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
FERPA is a Federal privacy law that gives parents/guardians certain rights and protections with regard to their child’s education records.

Parent Rights under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
ESSA is the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act – the federal law governing education from kindergarten through high school.

Parents Rights under the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA)
PPRA gives parents and students (18 years or older or emancipated) certain rights when a school conducts student surveys, collects and uses information for marketing purposes, and administers certain physical exams to students.
