Spring After School Programs
February 4 - May 30, 2019
3:00 - 5:00 pm Monday - Thursday, 1:30 - 3:30pm Fridays
Learn design and construction skills to transform a public space in Providence. This spring, we will be building a structure for Recycle-a-bike that was designed last fall. In this session, you will gain the hands-on construction skills needed to bring the design solution to life.
Monday/Wednesdays in the Carpentry Lab
Have fun playing with text and images, layout and color as you learn graphic design basics. From hands-on cut and paste experiments to polished digital products, we’ll build all kinds of graphics skills while designing for community clients.
Monday/Wednesdays in H205
Dream up new products that we need and love to use. Learn digital and hands-on skills as you work with a real-life client to invent a design solution for a challenge they face. Draft detailed plans with Onshape, and generate physical prototypes with 3D printing.
Tuesday/Thursdays in the Carpentry Lab
Experiment with your style and learn fashion design basics. In this new fall session, you will learn to measure, cut, and construct fabrics using a sewing machine to create fashion designs that help others.
Tuesday/Thursdays in H203
