• Nathanael Greene Middle School serves approximately 1,000 general education students and English learners in grades 6 through 8, with each grade divided into teams of three (Bucks, Gold, and Starz). Nathanael Greene Middle School, is the largest middle school in Providence and stands as a beacon of educational excellence and community pride. With a rich history rooted in a commitment to student achievement, it has grown to house the district’s largest advanced academic program which is on an application basis, offering diverse opportunities for student success. Built on a strong foundation of teamwork and collaboration, Nathanael Greene fosters an environment where student safety, personal growth, and academic rigor are top priorities. Through a supportive and inclusive culture, the school continues to empower students to thrive, preparing them for future success while honoring its long-standing legacy in Providence's educational landscape. The school employs an advisory model to offer personalized learning experiences geared toward college and career readiness in grades 6 through 8. Greene hosts a number of after-school programs, sports, and an emerging CTE/STEM program with a focus on technology, computer science and robotics. Special education inclusion, self-contained and self-contained hybrid programs are offered.
