Amy Marshall is the Principal of Harry Kizirian Elementary School. She has been working in education for 12 years, the last three in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Most recently, Amy served as the Assistant Principal at Nathanael Greene Middle School and Director of School Operations for Young Woods Elementary School. Before coming to Providence, Amy worked in the Woonsocket Public School District and spent most of her career teaching ESL and Special Education.

 

Amy earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education & Severe/Profound Special Education Ages 3-22, from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. She received her Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, Grades Pre-K-12 from Rhode Island College as well. Amy received additional certifications in ESL Consultant/Specialist and Building Administration Pre-K-12.

 

Amy believes that every student is different and unique, but that all students can achieve at high levels. Her vision for Kizirian Elementary School is to create a welcoming and rigorous environment for all students. Amy wants Kizirian Elementary School to be a place where all students can excel and feel part of a community.
