    Dear Vartan Community,

I hope you are all well. I am hopeful that our entire school community will work together during this difficult time to support one another.

While I don't have clarification regarding specific expectations about what distance learning will ultimately look like, I can pass along the structures that we currently have in place and some other valuable resources.

First, I would like to acknowledge the tremendous job the staff did on Friday. They worked as a team ensuring that school ran as normal as possible. Our students were able to maintain their normal routines despite the changing realities. Our staff kept the needs of students as our main priority throughout the entire day.

Some of the resources that every student is already signed up for are Zearn Math, iReady for reading and math, and Google Classroom. Please see this link for some more information regarding each class: https://docs.google.com/…/18kQkw5-2I00xA_1deOIRNmXW2f…/edit…

Note that in order for students to sign into iReady or Lexia, they will need their student ID #. These were sent home on Friday and most students
already know theirs. If you need an ID # please let us know.

Zearn Math is a perfectly acceptable replacement for Eureka, in fact it mirrors the program exactly. The lessons are taught much as they would be in class. Students then need to work through multiple steps before moving on. This should be done while taking notes.

I have created a Google Doc that can become a hub of FAQ that people might have during this time. Please ask for and research Q & As here: https://docs.google.com/…/1sDNR1hBGcBUVw1J8Ya74vPbTWM…/edit…

As stated, distance learning will likely look different with every teacher. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. This is just an initial layout. More information will be coming.

Please be well and know that we will make it through this stronger than ever.
