Jose DeAndrade

Jose DeAndrade is the current Assistant Principal at Mount Pleasant High School. He has been working in education for 11 years, the last four and a half with the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Prior to coming to PPSD, Jose worked at Holy Name Jr. Sr. High School in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the Rhode Island Nurses Institute Middle College in Providence, Rhode Island. He is entering his second year as an Assistant Principal, and did two years as a Principal Fellow through TNTP.

Jose earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his Master's degree in Education/Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, and completed his C.A.G.S. - Educational Leadership at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Jose's vision for Mount Pleasant High School is to inspire world-class leadership that yields excellence in learning and delivers efficient 360 solutions. Jose feels that it is a privilege for him to honor and serve the Providence and Mount Pleasant community with distinction, and he is looking forward to helping the school and the community excel. Dr. Anthony Francisco

Dr. Anthony Francisco is an Assistant Principal at Mount Pleasant High School. He has been working in education for 22 years, the majority with the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Anthony has been an administrator for seven years. He held various positions in PPSD including, at Hope High School for 12 years as a World Languages Teacher, the former Carl G. Lauro Elementary School as a Bilingual 1st grade teacher, an Assistant Principal at Frank D. Spaziano Elementary School, and a World Languages Teacher at JSEC for three years. He worked in Pawtucket School Department as the Director of Culture & Community Engagement, and was also an Assistant Principal there before returning to PPSD in October 2023. 

Prior to working in education, Anthony worked at Textron Speidel, BankBoston, and Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk. Upon entering the educational field, Anthony earned his Bachelor's degree in Education - World Languages from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his Masters of Education degree from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island, and his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. Anthony also conducted a district-wide teacher leadership study in Providence in 2018 titled "Educator Perceptions of Leadership Styles: A Comparison of Administrator, Teacher Leaders, and Teacher Preferences."

Anthony's vision for Mount Pleasant High School is that the ideal Mount Pleasant graduate will meet the following four characteristics: they will attend school at least 90% of the time, they will take a college-eligible course load, they will have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5, and they will score at least 1010 on the SAT.

Elizabeth Goyette

Elizabeth Goyette is the Assistant Principal at Mount Pleasant High School. She has spent her entire educational career with the Providence Public School District (PPSD), starting out as a science teacher ten years ago at PCTA. This is Elizabeth's second year as an Assistant Principal.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. She received a second Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's degree in Special Education from Western Governor's University. Elizabeth also completed an alternate certification program through TNTP for her certification, which then led to completing her leadership certification.

Elizabeth's vision for the upcoming school year is to instill confidence, both socially and academically, in the students so they are able to reach their full potential and realize their power in changing the culture of Mount Pleasant to show the community how amazing Providence students are and the limitless possibilities they are able to achieve.

Anabel Jimenez-Hiraldo

Anabel Jimenez-Hiraldo is the Assistant Principal at Mount Pleasant High School. She has spent her entire educational career working in the Providence Public School District (PPSD), and this will be her first year as an Assistant Principal.

Anabel earned her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education - Spanish from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. She received her Master's degree in Education from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and completed the Principal Residency Network.

Anabel's vision for the upcoming school year is to help create a place where all stakeholders work collaboratively to ensure equity and high-quality education for all students.

Gary D'Orsi

Gary D'Orsi is the Director of School Operations at Mount Pleasant High School. He has been working in education for 11 months, all spent in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Prior to coming to PPSD, Gary worked in operations in the Healthcare Industry for 30 years. 

Gary earned his Bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his Master's of Business Administration in Management from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from there as well. Gary's vision for the upcoming school year is to work on improving outcomes for school operations while improving wait times for the Mount Pleasant community.
