Pedro Calixto is the Assistant Principal at Anthony Carnevale Elementary School. He has been with the Providence Public School District (PPSD) for the past four years, the last two as an Assistant Principal. Pedro has been working in education for the past 20 years, and prior to working in PPSD, he was an Elementary Bilingual teacher and special education teacher in Brooklyn, New York.

Pedro earned his Bachelor's degree in Bilingual Elementary Education from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York. He then received his Master's degree in Special Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York, New York, and then completed an educational leadership program at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.

Pedro's vision for Anthony Carnevale Elementary School is that the Carnevale community will provide an inclusive and comprehensive education that supports a strong academic foundation for all learners. The school community will continue to communicate and collaborate to improve the learning of all students with all stakeholders.
