Hello Students, Parents and Families!!
Winter is coming, and we must be ready for it!! The cold weather can cause people to get sick, and it is important to know how to stay healthy and prevent illness. Always remember to wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds, or as long as it takes you to sing Happy Birthday twice! It is important to wash your hands after using the bathroom, after blowing or wiping your nose, and after being around someone who is sick! With the COVID-19 pandemic, it can be scary to become sick and think you may have the virus. If you believe you have symptoms of the Corona Virus, get tested! Also, see the image below on how to tell the difference between the flu and COVID! Winter time can also be a lot of fun, especially when it snows! BUT, it is important to remember to always be safe. If you plan on going sledding, wear a helmet to protect your head! Remember NOT to go out on any frozen bodies of water, it is dangerous and you could fall into the freezing water, BRRRR! Lastly, remember to be careful of the ice on the ground! It is easy to slip and fall when the weather gets cold, so be aware of where you are stepping, and wear shoes that are meant for the snow and ice, like snow boots!!
