DelSesto Middle School serves approximately 900 general education students and English learners in grades 6-8. The school is divided into three academies—PEAK, STEM and STEAM—that create smaller learning communities. DelSesto is one of three Providence public middle schools involved in the national Turnaround Arts program that leverages the arts to increase student engagement. It also hosts a number of after-school programs. DelSesto has an equity and school culture coordinator to help liaise between the community and students. In addition to after-school programming, DelSesto offers special Saturday academic support sessions. Special education inclusion, self-contained hybrid, exceptional child and autism programs are offered. School uniforms are optional.
