Meet our Prinicpal - Tracey Learned
Tracey Learned has fourteen years of experience as a building level leader in the Coventry Public Schools and Barrington Public Schools systems. Mrs. Learned is excited to come to the Providence Public Schools and serve as the principal of Pleasant View School. Her record of improving student achievement in a variety of settings is strong. During her tenure at Hopkins Hill School in Coventry, the school moved from the verge of intervention to a leading school. Nayatt School in Barrington moved from a typically performing school to commended status and achieved National Blue Ribbon Status under her leadership.
As a graduate of the National Institute of School Leadership (NISL), she brings a wealth of knowledge on how to collaborate with staff and families to ensure students’ success. Mrs. Learned is excited to take on the challenge of working in a turnaround district. She admired the talented and dedicated Providence principals in the NISL Program and is honored to come work with them.
In her review of the Pleasant View data, it was highly evident that the staff at Pleasant View have a collaborative culture and strong foundations to build upon for future success. Mrs. Learned understands that a partnership with families is key to student success. In her most recent Student Family Engagement Survey, the parents at her school gave her a 4.67 out of 5 for being approachable and reachable. Her past staff surveys reported her greatest strength as her genuine concern for their welfare.
