Shannon Biurrun

Shannon Biurrun is the Assistant Principal at Robert L. Bailey Elementary School. She has been working for the Providence Public School District (PPSD) in various capacities as a Special Educator for over 20 years.

Shannon earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in School Leadership at Providence College and will complete the program in May of 2024.

Shannon's goal for the students at Bailey Elementary School is that they continue to show academic improvement with access to high quality instruction and targeted small group differentiated learning to help close the achievement gaps. She knows that all students of all abilities can learn and hopes to help students realize their potential to grow and learn in a school that promotes their academic achievement and social emotional development as well as helps them strive for greatness.

Michelle Faford

Michelle Faford is the Assistant Principal at Robert L. Bailey Elementary School. She has been with the Providence Public School District (PPSD) for 12 years, and has been working in education for the past 28 years. Prior to coming to PPSD, she taught first and second grades in New Hampshire, and then worked for the Woonsocket School Department as a teacher of grades 2-5 and technology.

Michelle earned her Bachelor's in English with a concentration in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island, and earned her Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language from there, as well. She also did the Principal Fellowship Program through TNTP.

Michelle's vision for Robert L. Bailey Elementary School is to ensure that all students are taught the skills and strategies needed to ensure success at Bailey Elementary School and beyond.
