Hello Families,

My name is Joanna Zesk and I am thrilled to be your child’s 4th grade teacher. I am new to Providence Public Schools, but have had the pleasure of being a parent of a graduating 5th grader and soon to be 2nd grader at Vartan Gregorian. I’m coming from the Boston Public School system. I had the privilege of teaching in Boston in various teaching roles since 2003. I am excited to take what I have learned and apply it to my work as a 4th grade teacher at Vartan Gregorian, the best elementary school in Providence!

The following information is important for you and your child:

• Come to school prepared with all requested supplies on the 1st day of school.
• Lessons start at 9:15 am.  Be on time every day.
• Come to school every day. 
• Be well rested; get plenty of sleep each night.
• Complete homework every night!

Please come with these items on the first day of school:

*5 Marble Composition Books (college ruled)

*Plastic Pocket Folders with Three Hole Punch Prong in RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE (5 folders in all)

*1 Three Hole Punch Folder in any color/design for Homework

*1 3-Inch Binder in WHITE

*1 pack of Ticonderoga Pencils (community bin item)

*1 pack of large pink erasers (community bin item)

*2 rulers (one for school, one for home)

*2 glue sticks (one community bin, one for home)

*2 child safe scissors (one for community bin, one for school)

* 1 Soft Binder Pencil Pouch in any color

*2 packs of colored pencils (one for community bin, one for home)

*2 packs of Crayola Crayons- 8ct (one for community bin, one for home)

*One pack of post-it notes (community bin item)

(Community bins are for each table/group and will be replenished throughout the year with supplies brought in September)
