Dear E-Cubed Academy Students, Families and Community,

It is with the deepest sense of honor and excitement that I write to you to introduce myself as the new Principal of E-Cubed Academy. Through the interview process I was inspired by the passion and commitment of the students, staff, and families with whom I had the opportunity to interact. I look forward to working alongside you to continue the things that make E-Cubed great as we re-imagine ECubed
as a CTE-focused school. The future of E-Cubed is exciting! I am excited at the possibility of offering internships with technology companies, and certification programs that will give students a leg up when applying to college or jobs after high school. My hope is to create partnerships that will allow early access to college coursework at schools like CCRI and URI for our current students.

I come to E-Cubed with 16 years of experience in the field of education. Last year I served as an Instructional Support Leader here in Providence Schools. Prior to moving to Providence, I lived and worked in Rochester, New York. During my 15 years working in urban education in Rochester I was a Science Teacher, Mentor Teacher, Lead Teacher for Positive Behavior Supports, Assistant Principal, and held a variety of other leadership roles. I have a track record of improving student achievement and decreasing suspensions and hope to continue that work with the team at E-Cubed.

I am well-aware of the difficulty of this past school year related to the pandemic, as well as the numerous transitions that have occurred within the leadership of E-Cubed over the past 3 years. I want to share with you that my commitment is to E-Cubed and our students, and my intention is to serve this school community for years to come. I will be working closely with Assistant Principal Or and the school staff as I transition into the role of Principal. Having taught and led in a small school, I am excited that E-Cubed is also a small learning community that is not only focused on academics but also knowing each student and addressing their social-emotional needs.

Additionally, I look forward to working closely with all of our students, families and community partners to provide the students of ECubed an outstanding high school experience. Please join me on Thursday, July 22nd at either 11:00am-1:00pm or 5:00-7:00pm for a meet-and-greet where we will have a chance to meet one another and begin our dialogue about the future of E-Cubed Academy. Parent and community involvement is important to me as a leader, and this will be the first of many opportunities for us to engage this year.

During the meet-and-greet there will be an opportunity to sign up to participate in a stakeholder discussion where I can hear directly from small groups about what makes E-Cubed great and ideas for the future of the school. If you are unable to attend the meet-and-greet and want to be a part of the stakeholder panels, please contact the Main Office at (401) 456-0694 (choose option 3) to be invited to those meetings.

As we enjoy our summer I am asking all parents to make sure we have your updated contact information. We need this information to keep you informed and to invite you to events in the future. If your contact information has changed please call the Main Office to provide us with an update.

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me directly via email matthew.juda@ppsd.org or by calling the school and pressing option 6 for the Principal’s Office. If you are in the neighborhood this summer please feel free to stop in to say hello. I look forward to working together to provide all of our students with the excellent education they deserve.

I hope you enjoy a restful and healthy summer!

    Sincerely,
    Dr. Juda
    Principal
