Scheduling for Full Distance Learning
All PPSD elementary schools will maintain their current brick and mortar bell times and schedules during distance learning.
At the elementary level, teachers will follow their schedules to ensure students have access to their art, music, and health and physical education teachers on the appropriate days.
Except in instances when specific teachers are needed to administer student testing, all elementary classes will be delivered in real time by your child’s teacher. This is known as synchronous learning.
Attendance and engagement are important and critical to success and as such, will be closely monitored.
We encourage families to stay connected with their children’s teachers. You can contact teachers through the Skyward family portal. If you need help navigating the portal, visit www.providenceschools.org/skywardhelp. If you have forgotten your log-in information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
