Overview of Collaborative Classroom Curriculum

At Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, we have adopted two core curriculums from The Center for Collaborative Classroom.  Both or reading comprehension program, Making Meaning, and our writing program, Being A Writer, provide teachers plans for engaging lessons that support both academic and social and emotional development of our students we serve.  Additionally, MLK's SEL curriculum (social-emotional learning) is published by Collaborative Classroom.  The following links provide more information about our programs.

  • If you have any questions about MLK's programming or how  you can support your child at home, please feel free to read out to MLK's Litearcy Coach, Karen Aadamec, at karen.adamec@ppsd.
