SLO


Student Learning Objective
Completed by teachers of record or those with a caseload of students

  • Educator sets a learning goal for their students based on a set of baseline data.
  • The objectives must include all of the students or be representative of all students.
  • Semester teachers can set the SLO for a semester rather than full year.
  • It should be aligned to the school’s SLOs if possible.
SOO
Student Outcome Objective
Generally completed by educators who primarily provide specialized services or manage programs
  • Employee sets a goal for their program/service delivery based on a set of baseline data.
  • Refer to the SLO/SOO tree to determine if appropriate.
  • It should be aligned to the school’s goals.
SAO
Special Assignment Objective
Generally completed by TOSAs- educators with no students
  • Relates back to the role the person holds.
  • It should be aligned to school or district goals.

It is sometimes appropriate to have a combination of SLOs, SOOs, and SAOs. Please discuss with your evaluator and reach out to pdfeedback@ppsd.org for support.
