Marques Maxsom-Taylor

Marques Maxsom-Taylor is the Director of School Operations at Nathanael Greene Middle School. He has worked in education for 10 years, the last two in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Prior to coming to PPSD, Maxsom worked at Hampton City Schools in Virginia. He began his teaching career teaching secondary music, and spent 10 years in the classroom. During that time, he served as a new teacher mentor and technology support.

Marques earned his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. His vision for Nathanael Greene Middle School is to promote collaboration and encourage creativity throughout the building. Marques also plans to continue building great relationships with staff, families, and community members, while keeping the school safe and secure.

B.A: Youth Development focusing on Education, Social Work, and Nonprofit Studies

Adamary Silva

Adamary Silva is the Culture Coordinator at Nathanael Greene Middle School. This will be her first year working in education and in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Prior to coming to PPSD, Adamary worked in the mental health field for a sub program for the State of Massachusetts called JRI.

Adamary earned her Bachelor's degree in Youth Development focusing on Education, Social Work, and Nonprofit Studies from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. She is a first generation graduate coming from a Cape Verdean background. Adamary's vision for the upcoming school year is to be as inclusive as possible at Nathanael Greene. Coming from an immigrant background, she understands the difficulty for some families to be involved. She would like to create a bridge between NGMS and families where everyone feels as though they have a voice that matters, and also creating a space where everyone feels welcome.

Amy Harrington

Amy Harrington is an Aspiring Principal at Nathanael Greene Middle School. She is going into her 26th year working in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Amy earned her Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. She received her Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. Amy's goal for the upcoming school year is to develop a passion for literacy in all students.
