Updated COVID-19 Guidance
-
You have symptoms consistent with COVID-19:
- Stay home
- Get tested
- Return to school if test is negative and symptoms resolve.
You test positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status:
- Stay home and isolate for at least 5 days.
- Return to school on day 6 if you do not have symptoms and have been
- fever-free for at least 24 hours (without using fever reducing medication).
- If you do have symptoms on day 6, stay home and continue to isolate until your symptoms improve and you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours.
- Wear a well-fitting mask at school and at home for the full 10 days.
You have been identified as a close contact of a positive case... … and you are vaccinated with no symptoms:
- Return to school;
- If possible, get tested on day 5;
- Wear a well-fitting mask around others for 10 days; and
- Monitor yourself for symptoms.
…that is not a household member, and you are not vaccinated, and have no symptoms:
- Return to school and self-monitor for symptoms as part of “Monitor to Stay” for 5 days;
- If possible, get tested on day 5;
- Wear a well-fitting mask for 10 days; and
- Follow quarantine guidance when outside school, as well as updated CDC guidance about masking.
…that is a household member, and you are not vaccinated, and have no symptoms:
- Quarantine for 5 days at home if you are able to separate from your household member or 10 days if you are not able to separate;
- If possible, get tested on day 5;
- After quarantining, return to school and wear a well-fitting mask around others for 10 days; and
- Monitor yourself for symptoms.
