Parents are always welcome and encouraged to accompany their children and participate in these activities. The YMCA staff also holds special events, such as "Pajama Parties," where students in the program change into pajamas and before their parents can take them home they must read a story together.
Many parents from the Dorcas Family Literacy Program have children in the YMCA and are always encouraged to share their learning!
All YMCA staff members are CPR trained and certified in behavior management. Mainstream teachers (teachers at Bailey) work with the YMCA in the creation of new and exciting classes for our students.
