Our Vision |
At Feinstein High School, where excellence is the constant and time is the variable, WE BELIEVE:
- All students can learn. Intelligence is multi-dimensional and can be increased. We seek to use each student's strengths and learning styles to maximize achievement.
- All students can meet high standards when they study a curriculum that is designed with scaffolding and support.
- Contextual learning is essential. Learning is facilitated when we create connections between the disciplines, the student's life and future.
- Education allows students to do things. The best way to assess if a student has learned something is to ask the student to use it an authentic context.
- Everyone who lives in the school - the students, the teachers, the administrators and the staff - should have a voice. It empowers people to meet the challenges of teaching and learning.
- We encourage intrinsic motivation by having students pursue personal interests while working toward standards.
Our school will enhance student learning by creating the kind of school we want for our own children...for all students. - Students coming to school after 8:20 a.m. are LATE and will receive detention!
