Students at Carl Lauro keep a Writer's notebook as well as participate in a daily Writing Workshop.
They also participate in Reading Workshop, where every child selects a book of interest to read and apply the strategies the teacher uses to scaffold their instruction. |

Students at Carl Lauro work with the Investigations Math program to understand math concepts and to find a variety of ways to problem solve. |
