Important Notice: Please be advised that all children who have successfully completed a RI Dept of Education accredited kindergarten for the 2007-08 school year SHALL be admitted to first grade for the 2008-09 school year.
This means children who were granted exceptions to the Kindergarten Age Eligibility Statute in private, parochial, and other districts' public kindergarten programs ARE eligible to enter Providence's first grade classrooms in the fall.
