Welcome to Charles N. Fortes Elementary Museum School

Vision/Mission Statement
In this technology rich school, students, teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, community agencies, and businesses will forge new relationships based on mutual respect within our culturally diverse community. We will collaborate and make decisions to improve teaching and ensure maximum student achievement. We commit to an on-going process of growth and development in teaching and learning.

Together, we will build a learning environment based on the strengths and talents of each learner and individual learning styles. We will constantly reassess and work to improve relationships with the entire learning community.

We will research and implement various assessment tools for utilization in teaching and programming. We will hold ourselves accountable by constantly reflecting, rethinking, changing and participating in interactive problem solving. The future needs of our population, programming and teaching will be foremost in our hearts and minds.

Time and space will not limit our ultimate goal of "success," which we will accomplish through flexible teaching and learning. We dedicate ourselves to teaching and learning within and beyond the physical walls of Charles N. Fortes Elementary School.
