“Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.”
This quote by John Cotton Dana epitomizes not only the mandate for all in the educational arena, but for all of society as well. Whatever career path we are on, or whatever service we provide, from the small business “mom and pop” store to the large conglomerates, it is incumbent upon all of us to teach our fellow man.
At William D’Abate School, we take this responsibility very seriously and do all we can to serve our students and their families. It is our belief that to teach the child, we must do so within the context of the family. That is why we work so diligently to provide programs from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., to reach as many as we can within the learning community.
Dedication is apparent within these walls through professional development in every academic area. Additionally, each day, we bridge with agencies to plan, support and implement strategies for our children and their families to have a more rewarding life in every domain.
Through these efforts we are fulfilling our mission, which is to prepare our children to be fulfilled, responsible, productive citizens for life. We will sustain an environment rich with learning opportunities and rigorous standards, to foster a healthy child within a healthy family, to build a healthy community!
