Procedures for Corner Stops and Daycare Facilities

All students should be treated equally under the guidelines stated below (no exceptions).
Corner Stops:
Grades K-6 Students may be assigned a corner stop up to but not more than .3 (less than 1/3) mile from the student’s residence.
Grades 7-8 students may be assigned a corner stop up to but not more that .6 (less than 2/3rd) miles from the student’s residence.
Daycare Facilities:
If a student qualifies for transportation, a pass will be issued for the closest existing corner stop to the facility (if seat availability*).
Note: All special requests for transportation will be processed after all regular, medical, and Sp. Ed. Students have received their assigned bussing (the second or third week of school depending on volume).
This will ensure all eligible students a seat on a bus.
Seat availability is defined as follows:
Elementary busses - 70 students or less
Middle School busses – 50 students or less
20% capacity is defined as follows:
Elementary busses - 55 students or less
Middle School busses – 40 students or less
