VIPS provides individual attention to help children learn.
VIPS helps Providence public school students' gain the education skills and self-esteem they need to become successful learners and productive members of the community.
More than 1000 volunteers from throughout Rhode Island are matched with students. Volunteers work with students in all grades, tutoring in reading, math, English as a second language and other subjects.
VIPS makes a unique, essential and cost-effective contribution to the city of Providence by providing screened, trained, dedicated volunteers at no cost to the student.
